Just back from a trip to Texas, I am suddenly inspired by the rustic allure of bull skulls.  Not just for dusty ranch homes, incorporate one into an otherwise feminine space for an edgy, yet elegant upgrade.  Look for versions in gold, silver, or brass finishes for extra style points.

decor inspo : painted pad

Ready for a home makeover this spring? Add some color and pattern to your pad with paint.  We like bold choices like hot pink, bright yellow, and aqua blue.  Or try a graphic black and white printed look.  It’s an easy way to update tired dressers, tables, lamps, and chairs.

  If you don’t own any furniture that you’d risk painting, head to your local thrift store or flea market and hunt down a piece with potential.  Pay attention to the lines and silhouette of furniture while shopping, and remember, you’ll be covering up any spots or scratches with paint.

  Tip. Consider updating drawer pulls for a completely new look. (Try something antiquey, modern, or deco).
